About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the territory plan, including segmentation, call cadence, routing, and coverage
  • Build relationships with Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, independent practices, multi-location groups, and relevant accounts
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Manage the sales funnel, forecasts, and activity metrics using CRM
  • Lead compliant in-office data reviews, trainings, and lunch-and-learns for eyecare professionals
  • Educate practices on patient selection, expected outcomes, safety, onset/duration, and workflow
  • Translate clinical evidence into screening prompts, exam-lane cues, and intake questions
  • Equip practice staff with tools, starter resources, and patient materials to drive consistent use
  • Drive adoption of an out-of-pocket therapy and set expectations for value, usage, and follow-up
  • Document customer feedback and field insights and share them with internal partners
  • Execute brand strategy and digital tools to support launch excellence
  • Support regional and national meetings and POAs
  • Share repeatable best practices
  • Adhere to compliance requirements, including adverse event reporting and HCP interaction standards
  • Report to the Area Sales Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of a documented track record of success in sales required
  • Pharmaceutical, medical, or closely related sales experience is a plus
  • Eye-care or contact lens sales preferred
  • Pharma launch experience preferred
  • Start-up experience is a plus
  • Comfort with selling cash-pay/elective therapies and discussing affordability with practices and patients
  • Currently have and maintain an unexpired driver’s license
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Must reside in New Jersey
  • Ability to travel to client sites, including by car, plane, train, or taxi
  • Ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively in a remote work environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, engage in video or phone meetings, and use standard office equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport materials up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, proactive mindset
