Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement medical affairs strategies to support pre-launch and post-launch activities
Drive scientific dissemination through publications, presentations, and Key Opinion Leader engagement
Serve as the internal expert on ophthalmic diseases, providing strategic input across Research & Development, regulatory, and commercial functions
Build and lead cross-functional teams to generate and communicate compelling scientific evidence
Support successful product launches through strategic medical planning and stakeholder engagement
Build and mentor a high-performing medical affairs team
Collaborate with executive leadership to shape corporate strategy and investor communications
Represent the company at scientific, regulatory, and industry forums

Requirements

What you’ll need

MA, MS, MD, DO, or equivalent degree
15+ years of experience in ophthalmology, with leadership roles in clinical development and medical affairs
Demonstrated success in supporting product launches
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across medical and commercial functions
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical operations
The role requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including domestic and possible international trips.
