About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement medical affairs strategies to support pre-launch and post-launch activities
  • Drive scientific dissemination through publications, presentations, and Key Opinion Leader engagement
  • Serve as the internal expert on ophthalmic diseases, providing strategic input across Research & Development, regulatory, and commercial functions
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams to generate and communicate compelling scientific evidence
  • Support successful product launches through strategic medical planning and stakeholder engagement
  • Build and mentor a high-performing medical affairs team
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape corporate strategy and investor communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MA, MS, MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • 15+ years of experience in ophthalmology, with leadership roles in clinical development and medical affairs
  • Demonstrated success in supporting product launches
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across medical and commercial functions
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical operations
  • The role requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including domestic and possible international trips.
