About the role

  • Establishment, implementation and continuous development of the EHS management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Ensure compliance with German and European EHS regulations (e.g., ArbSchG, BImSchG) as well as OSHA and EPA requirements in the USA
  • Conduct hazard assessments, risk analyses and audits
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses and derive corrective and preventive actions
  • Serve as primary contact for authorities, certifiers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and emergency drills
  • Advise management and oversee external contractors

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or a natural science
  • 5–8 years' experience in EHS management, preferably in an industrial/technical environment
  • Strong knowledge of German EHS legislation
  • Experience with audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • Structured, independent and assertive working style
  • Qualified Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
  • ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 auditor qualification
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations (USA)
