About the role
- Design, program, and maintain the manufacturing, data acquisition and equipment control systems located within the plant.
- Develop and maintain the plants manufacturing control and data acquisition networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems as required.
- Develop and integrate operator interfaces between manufacturing networks and users.
- Develop and implement network system reports.
- Specify and facilitate the implementation of programmable logic controllers within the plants equipment overhaul and modernization program.
- Document, upgrade and troubleshoot equipment programmable logic controllers and AC/DC drives.
- Revise equipment programs as necessary to support manufacturing process improvements.
- Schedule the planned maintenance of all manufacturing networks.
- Train designated personnel in the operation and maintenance of programmable logic controllers and manufacturing networks.
- Prepare appropriation requests for the specification and purchase of new equipment and systems.
- Prepare IATF 16949 compliant instructions and work methods. Performs other duties as directed.
- Function as the liaison with manufacturing engineering on all equipment control and motion issues.
Requirements
- Associates degree in technical related field or high school diploma with required experience.
- Five years experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment control systems and networks.
