About the role

  • Design, program, and maintain the manufacturing, data acquisition and equipment control systems located within the plant.
  • Develop and maintain the plants manufacturing control and data acquisition networks.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems as required.
  • Develop and integrate operator interfaces between manufacturing networks and users.
  • Develop and implement network system reports.
  • Specify and facilitate the implementation of programmable logic controllers within the plants equipment overhaul and modernization program.
  • Document, upgrade and troubleshoot equipment programmable logic controllers and AC/DC drives.
  • Revise equipment programs as necessary to support manufacturing process improvements.
  • Schedule the planned maintenance of all manufacturing networks.
  • Train designated personnel in the operation and maintenance of programmable logic controllers and manufacturing networks.
  • Prepare appropriation requests for the specification and purchase of new equipment and systems.
  • Prepare IATF 16949 compliant instructions and work methods. Performs other duties as directed.
  • Function as the liaison with manufacturing engineering on all equipment control and motion issues.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in technical related field or high school diploma with required experience.
  • Five years experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment control systems and networks.
