About the role
- Investigates and solves production problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes.
- Develops, recommends, and implements changes for manufacturing processes or product quality improvement.
- Coordinates trial runs on proposed changes or sample parts and evaluates results.
- Provides technical advice and instructions to production coordinators and hourly employees.
- Designs or secures tools and equipment consistent with company standards, and instructs designers.
Requirements
- Associate degree in technical field or high school diploma with experience.
- Ten (10) years experience in manufacturing or product engineering.
- If assigned to molding process: Minimum of five (5) years experience in molding operation (including related chemistry) or a combination of a minimum of five (5) years of formal technical education and molding experience.
