About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate compliance-related allegations reported through the Ethics Action Line, Compliance Officer, Privacy Investigation Officer, Law Department, and other sources
- Lead investigations, including interviews, standardized resolution plans, remediation, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer, Facility Leadership, Privacy Investigations Officer, and Human Resources to recommend corrective or disciplinary action
- Conduct close-out meetings with responsible department leads
- Close the loop with complainants and interviewees involved in investigations
- Maintain compliance with documentation requirements in Compliance 360
- Report investigation activity at quarterly compliance committee meetings
- Provide professional support to senior leadership and advance the effectiveness of Tenet’s Ethics and Compliance Program
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining program integrity
- Support Tenet/USPI corporate operations located in Texas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal healthcare program requirements
- Investigation, clinical, legal, auditing, or other compliance experience
- Clear, concise, and persuasive writing and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills, deadline orientation, attention to detail, and ability to respond under pressure
- Experience using information systems and databases
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Communication, presentation, and consensus-building skills
- Energetic, results-oriented leadership approach
- High personal and professional integrity
- Ability to sensitively assess reported concerns and appropriately balance resolutions
- Ability to articulate and credibly communicate in written and verbal contexts
- Decision-making, coaching, monitoring, thoroughness, preparation, innovation, and creativity
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Previous Compliance Investigation Officer experience
- Some travel required
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance matters
- Preferred: 5 years of investigation experience, preferably in healthcare or compliance
- Preferred: 5 years of hospital experience
