About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage implementation of Tenet’s Ethics and Compliance Program in assigned markets
  • Provide compliance leadership on ethics and compliance matters and recommend controls
  • Collaborate with facility and regional leadership on ethics, compliance, privacy, and security program development and implementation
  • Build stakeholder relationships and support a culture of ethics and compliance
  • Serve as a resource and sounding board for facility leadership and employees
  • Assist with Compliance Committee and/or Board Committee preparations and meetings
  • Implement Tenet education and training programs for employees, contractors, and physicians
  • Coordinate with TPR counsel and the Law Department on legal and compliance matters
  • Assist with audits, monitoring, and oversight of processes related to identified risks
  • Conduct regular site visits using standard tools
  • Oversee corrective actions and monitoring in response to identified issues and audits
  • Implement approved monitoring systems and processes for ethics and compliance issues
  • Oversee procedures for reporting suspected fraud and improprieties without retaliation
  • Resolve identified compliance issues with team members and corporate personnel
  • Implement hospital compliance work plan initiatives and systems to prevent compliance and privacy/security issues
  • Act as a consultative resource on ethics and compliance matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three to five years of progressive compliance experience in hospital, surgical center, and/or clinical practice compliance for a large, multifaceted healthcare company
  • Knowledge of compliance process improvement and federal healthcare program requirements
  • Experience implementing and managing compliance programs remotely for a large number of facilities
  • Experience working in a hospital, health system, or other regulated healthcare environment
  • Experience developing and implementing corrective action plans
  • Experience conducting or overseeing audits and monitoring activities
  • Experience developing compliance training and delivering presentations
  • Experience with compliance data analysis, trend reporting, and dashboard utilization
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders through indirect authority
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive writing and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking and data analytics-driven decision-making
  • Organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective leadership and time management skills; ability to lead through influence
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Proficiency with information systems, databases, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other visual systems
  • Strong communication, consensus-building, and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify root causes, evaluate risks, and propose solutions
  • Comfort making decisions in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Some travel required
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CHC certification required
