About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect Tenable’s content strategy and ensure thought leadership and marketing assets are strategic and differentiated
- Position Tenable as a leader in exposure management, build CISO trust, and empower practitioners
- Lead the content marketing team with strategic planning, hands-on writing, and editorial leadership
- Drive the global Exposure Management Leadership Council and support CISO relationships and peer-to-peer engagement
- Translate technical and process insights into original reports and content
- Partner with Tenable Research on research calendars and thought leadership initiatives
- Implement GEO-first optimization across external marketing content for AI-powered answer engines and traditional search
- Implement and manage AI-enabled content workflows
- Own the editorial voice, calendar, blog strategy, and writing style guide
- Create research reports, SEO/GEO-optimized web pages, video scripts, and derivative content mapped to the buyer journey
- Advise and collaborate with Corporate Communications, Product Marketing, Product Management, Research, Web, Creative, and Revenue Marketing
- Monitor, report, and analyze content KPIs, organic visibility, engagement, and pipeline contribution
- Refine content strategies and demonstrate business impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–10+ years in content marketing, corporate marketing, or journalism
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience at an enterprise-scale organization
- Experience managing a team
- Ability to write high-quality technical content across varied platforms
- Fluency in the emerging AI search landscape, including LLMs and answer-engine content optimization
- Ability to balance visionary leadership with hands-on writing and editing
- Proven experience operating in a highly matrixed environment
- Ability to secure senior-leadership buy-in and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Experience protecting editorial brand voice and standards
- Sharp eye for quality and ability to coach writers
- AP Style preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
