About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store
- Travel between stores within the assigned area and support nearby locations
- Provide support in key team lead responsibilities and help drive overall store performance
- Lead all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain Tempur Sealy’s brand standards
- Perform Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level
- Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving store and sales-team problems
- Assist with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other store needs
- Solve sales-team problems and direct larger issues to the Store Manager
- Open and/or close the store and cover management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with high-end luxury and/or custom products
- Strong sales skills in a consultative environment
- Ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting
- Knowledge of current best-practice retail methods, procedures, and standards
- Ability to collaborate, lead, and follow
- Flexibility in work schedule based on store hours
- Fluency with current retail software and computer systems
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods
- Ability to occasionally lift items with or without assistance
