About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own customers' production readiness and activation from purchase through stable production
  • Drive the first production workflow and reduce time-to-production
  • Establish reliability, failure-handling, scaling, upgrade, alerting, and operational best practices
  • Resolve customers' most difficult technical tickets and remove activation blockers
  • Optimize customer costs and performance
  • Build and execute KPI-driven success plans tied to production outcomes
  • Define standards for technical patterns, training, governance, and operational readiness
  • Coordinate Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams for on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Manage technical risk, migrations, and architectural debt
  • Set and validate reliability, observability, and operational standards
  • Monitor health signals and intervene proactively
  • Lead technical reviews, readiness checkpoints, and maturity assessments
  • Certify teams and workloads as production-ready
  • Identify growth signals and partner with customers, Growth AEs, and Solution Architects to unlock new workloads
  • Translate production success into technical narratives for renewal and growth
  • Advocate for customer needs and real-world patterns internally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must reside in the United Kingdom; London preferred
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering principles
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale
  • Ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers through resolution
  • Strong customer-facing skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and team events
  • Nice to have: Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms
  • Nice to have: observability tools and practices for distributed systems
  • Nice to have: professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering background
