About the role
- Define how developers build durable, stateful, human-in-the-loop workflows
- Own signals, updates, and queries for messaging and interactivity
- Partner with engineering to deliver fast, responsive workflows
- Drive coherence across Temporal's primitives for interoperability and composability
- Shape retry behavior, recovery tools, changelists, and operational controls for reliability
- Steer strategy for scalable, predictable workload economics
- Define Temporal's scheduling model for orchestrating millions of workflows
Requirements
- Passion for improving the developer experience
- Experience in building world-class open-source software and communities
- Experience in defining product vision and roadmap
- Strong knowledge of API design and developer experience
- Ability to work closely with engineering on performance, reliability, and cost tradeoffs
- Experience with long-running processes, messaging, synchronous interactions, and platform-level reliability
