About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative engineering culture
- Drive design, development, and delivery of scalable applications, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability
- Own technical delivery across the full SDLC, from requirements and design through to deployment and ongoing support
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Provide hands-on technical guidance on architecture, design patterns, and development best practices
- Ensure strong engineering discipline across coding standards, testing, version control, and documentation
- Oversee development, integration, and testing activities, ensuring quality across unit, integration, and UAT phases
- Support teams in resolving complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point where needed
- Guide adoption of modern development practices, including CI/CD, automation, and cloud-based delivery models
- Contribute to planning activities within an Agile environment and support coordination across teams where required
- Drive continuous improvement across development processes, tooling, and delivery outcomes
- Ensure clear and structured technical documentation is maintained across systems and solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or senior engineer leading development teams in enterprise environments
- Strong software engineering background with experience across full SDLC delivery
- Hands-on experience with modern technologies (e.g. Java, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms)
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design
- Experience working in Agile environments, ideally with exposure to scaled frameworks such as SAFe
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g. Git)
- Experience overseeing testing practices, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to assess systems and recommend improvements
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, working across technical and business teams
- Ability to mentor and develop engineers, driving capability and technical excellence
