About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You'll take ownership of frontend tickets—the full journey from analysis to deployment.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust frontend features using Angular.
- Collaborate closely with agile team members, including BAs and Tech Leads, to refine user stories and technical implementation details.
- Integrate frontend components seamlessly with existing backend Web APIs and REST endpoints.
- Ensure UI/UX consistency, code quality, and optimal performance across the application.
- Collaborate with backend developers to understand service architecture and API design, partner with Business Analysts to validate user workflows, and work with product managers to understand the 'why' behind features.
- This isn't about following a checklist—it's about taking initiative, thinking critically, and owning outcomes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a heavy specialization in Angular
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS
- You understand semantic HTML, accessible design, and responsive layouts
- Experience integrating frontend features with REST APIs and backend services
- You understand how frontend and backend work together and can debug integration issues
- Proven experience consuming and working strictly against backend APIs
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and version control (e.g., Git)
- Strong communication skills
- Initiative and resourcefulness
- Nice-to-Haves: Agile methodologies and experience with user stories, Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, Git and version control workflows, Experience in benefits administration, insurance, or regulated industries (not required), AngularJS experience, Understanding of backend technologies like C# or .NET
