• Provide guidance on Canadian indirect tax matters, including interpretation of GST/HST, QST, PST legislation, case law, and government policies
• Proactively manage tax compliance and identify opportunities for tax optimization while following the TELUS Tax Strategy
• Support high-impact projects, including tax authority audits, appeals and litigation, tax planning, legislative impact assessments, and system/process improvements
• Balance multiple tasks and work closely with Tax and non-Tax team members, adapting to shifting priorities to support evolving business and taxation needs
• Engage with government authorities to stay ahead of tax regulations and policy changes and incorporate this knowledge into TELUS's tax planning and compliance strategies
• Address challenges related to acquisitions, new product introductions, business process changes, systems implementations, audits, and appeals
• Drive initiatives to enhance tax efficiency, compliance, and overall business performance
• Occasionally support the broader TELUS Tax team on US indirect tax matters
