About the role
- Coordinate data and privacy incidents, including AI-related incidents
- Focus on continuous improvement of processes and participate in post-incident reviews
- Contribute to mandatory breach reporting to regulatory authorities
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports
- Provide privacy guidance to stakeholders
- Stay up to date on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Define a strategy for investigating data-related incidents
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders during incidents
- Conduct post-incident analyses for training and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience in incident response related to data or privacy protection
- Knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation
- Understanding of incident management, information systems, and internal control requirements
- Ability to adopt an integrated perspective for continuous improvement initiatives and problem solving
- Ability to make autonomous decisions to quickly mitigate risks and protect the TELUS brand
- Ability to work effectively under urgent conditions and remain calm in stressful situations
- Attention to detail, initiative, and proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while handling confidential information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
- Flexibility and willingness to assume additional responsibilities as role requirements change
- Fluent in English
