About the role
- Assess, implement, and maintain security controls and processes
- Provide the team with a clear view of its security posture
- Review contractual clauses related to security requirements for all clients
- Review clients' security risk assessments and respond to security questionnaires
- Assess TELUS platforms and solutions against relevant cybersecurity frameworks
- Provide transparent, verifiable evidence to validate compliance with frameworks
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to assess compliance
- Prepare clear, concise reports on non-compliances
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of cybersecurity experience in a fast-paced commercial environment
- 3 to 5 years of proven technical security experience across infrastructure, applications, and network domains, ideally in a consulting or assurance role
- Experience with compliance policies, standards, and guidelines in privacy and technical security
- Strong experience applying core technical security standards derived from internal and external frameworks
- Recognized experience with security control frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud architectures, DevSecOps, and integrated security, as well as delivery methodologies and processes, is an asset
- Good understanding of foundational security architecture concepts for networks, infrastructure, and applications
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to build relationships with stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in English is required
