About the role

  • Installing and repairing complex alarm systems for residential and commercial clients
  • Identifying, analyzing, and investigating customer concerns and issues
  • Using strong computer and networking skills to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems

Requirements

  • Previous experience delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience selling solutions, recommending products to customers, and upselling TELUS products and services
  • Eligibility for bonding (security clearance and criminal record check required)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean, unrestricted record — or equivalent provincial license; a driving record check will be required
  • Normal color vision required to work with color-coded wiring
  • Ability to handle a physically demanding workload, including lifting heavy objects, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions
  • Familiarity with working at heights, using ladders, and operating boom lifts and scissor lifts
  • Availability to work various shifts to meet business needs: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to provide customer support across different regions as needed
  • Self-starter with demonstrated decision-making skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices and safety rules
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and high performance, with the ability to learn and apply new skills in related situations
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
