• Join the Executive Communications team and provide strategic writing and communications support to the President and CEO of TELUS
• Produce exceptional content and end-to-end communications plans
• Draft consistent, high-quality internal and external communications on tight deadlines

Requirements

Minimum seven years’ experience as a senior communications advisor
University degree in a related discipline or extensive professional experience in a senior communications role
Exceptional writing, storytelling, editing, proofreading and research skills
Proven ability to collaborate and effectively integrate the President and CEO’s communications into broader business programs
Demonstrated expertise in drafting strategic internal communications, compelling opinion letters, standout nominations, meaningful media quotes, persuasive speeches and other executive communications
Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and make sound judgments based on available information in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Technical proficiency to create and distribute digital communications using various software tools
Excellent project management skills and strong organizational ability, with the capacity to set priorities effectively and balance competing interests
Ability to understand and analyze complex enterprise issues and optimize ways of working accordingly
Strong business awareness to analyze industry trends, competitors, regulation and news affecting TELUS
Good understanding of brand, social purpose, values and priorities of TELUS
Advanced working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe Campaign, Workvivo and other digital technology products
Bilingualism (spoken and written French and English) is an asset
Additional post-secondary training and certification in public relations or corporate communications are assets
Advanced proficiency in English is required
