About the role
- Assess the financial health of pension plans by conducting regular valuations
- Calculate pension benefits for a plan participant based on factors such as years of service, salary history, and retirement age
- Help plan sponsors determine the appropriate contribution levels to ensure long-term sustainability of the plan
- Assist in the design and modification of pension plans
Requirements
- Completion of or currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Continuous learning mentality; staying updated with the latest developments in actuarial science, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Bilingual (English and French) (Nice to Have)
- Successful completion of 1 or more exams from the SOA or CIA (Nice to Have)
