About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers to understand testing scope
  • Analyze technical documents to identify high-level test scenarios and develop comprehensive test cases
  • Create positive and negative test cases with expected results and test data
  • Maintain and update test suites based on new or changed functionalities
  • Prioritize and execute manual test scripts
  • Report defects, follow up on resolution, and perform retesting
  • Report testing progress and raise risks to deadlines or quality
  • Support and peer-review tasks of less experienced QA resources
  • Provide client support and training when required
  • Deliver QA-related tasks according to defined standards and procedures
  • Collaborate in Agile ceremonies on stable, long-term healthcare technology projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) - excellent written and oral communication skills
  • University degree in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Quality Assurance experience
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to understand external customer requirements from a testing perspective
  • Curious, disciplined, and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to use concepts and data to approach problems in a structured manner
  • Clear and constructive communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to think from users' perspective
  • Commitment to learning and professional growth
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment
  • Availability to travel within Canada
  • Experience in pension plan administration or financial services industry (asset)
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and defect tracking (asset)
  • Experience with Selenium and Java (asset)
  • Intermediate knowledge of English is required for regular interaction with English-speaking parties and English-only IT tools
  • Successful completion of Personnel Security Screening through the Government of Canada may be required for applicable functions
