About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Communicate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers to understand testing scope
Analyze technical documents to identify high-level test scenarios and develop comprehensive test cases
Create positive and negative test cases with expected results and test data
Maintain and update test suites based on new or changed functionalities
Prioritize and execute manual test scripts
Report defects, follow up on resolution, and perform retesting
Report testing progress and raise risks to deadlines or quality
Support and peer-review tasks of less experienced QA resources
Provide client support and training when required
Deliver QA-related tasks according to defined standards and procedures
Collaborate in Agile ceremonies on stable, long-term healthcare technology projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bilingual proficiency (English and French) - excellent written and oral communication skills
University degree in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline
Minimum 2 years of relevant Quality Assurance experience
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
Ability to understand external customer requirements from a testing perspective
Curious, disciplined, and creative approach to problem-solving
Ability to use concepts and data to approach problems in a structured manner
Clear and constructive communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to think from users' perspective
Commitment to learning and professional growth
Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment
Availability to travel within Canada
Experience in pension plan administration or financial services industry (asset)
Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and defect tracking (asset)
Experience with Selenium and Java (asset)
Intermediate knowledge of English is required for regular interaction with English-speaking parties and English-only IT tools
Successful completion of Personnel Security Screening through the Government of Canada may be required for applicable functions
