About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers to understand testing scope
- Analyze technical documents to identify high-level test scenarios and develop comprehensive test cases
- Create positive and negative test cases with expected results and test data
- Maintain and update test suites based on new or changed functionalities
- Prioritize and execute manual test scripts
- Report defects, follow up on resolution, and perform retesting
- Report testing progress and raise risks to deadlines or quality
- Support and peer-review tasks of less experienced QA resources
- Provide client support and training when required
- Deliver QA-related tasks according to defined standards and procedures
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies on stable, long-term healthcare technology projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual proficiency (English and French) - excellent written and oral communication skills
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Quality Assurance experience
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
- Ability to understand external customer requirements from a testing perspective
- Curious, disciplined, and creative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to use concepts and data to approach problems in a structured manner
- Clear and constructive communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to think from users' perspective
- Commitment to learning and professional growth
- Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment
- Availability to travel within Canada
- Experience in pension plan administration or financial services industry (asset)
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management and defect tracking (asset)
- Experience with Selenium and Java (asset)
- Intermediate knowledge of English is required for regular interaction with English-speaking parties and English-only IT tools
- Successful completion of Personnel Security Screening through the Government of Canada may be required for applicable functions
