About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate with Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Developers to have a clear understanding of the testing scope
- Analyze technical documents & Data flow Diagrams to identify high-level test scenarios
- Managed and validated Defined Benefits pension payment processing across multiple payment methods including Cheque, Wire, Direct Deposit/EFT and Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD).
- Worked extensively on various DB pension pay schedules ensuring timely and accurate benefit disbursement.
- Performed overpayment analysis, reconciliation activities, recovery processing, and financial balancing for pension administration systems.
- Validated multiple payroll cycles including weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for accurate pensionable earnings and contribution calculations.
- Reviewed and tested Defined Benefits optional forms of payment including Single Life Annuity, Joint & Survivor & Lump Sum options.
- Apply structured testing techniques to develop positive and negative test cases
- Ensure 100% test coverage while developing test cases
- Build manual test scripts by identifying expected results and corresponding test data for execution
- Maintain the test suite up to date based on newly added or change in existing functionalities
- Inform QA Leads about resources (e.g. data, environment, etc.) required for test execution
- Follow-up on resolution of defects within the established timeframe and perform retest as required
- Work closely and report testing progress to QA Leads
- Raise the flag when foreseeing major risks in terms of deadline or on the quality of product being delivered
- Carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant experience in a similar role for 4 - 6 years.
- Good Understanding in creation of Test Plans & designing Test Scenario’s.
- Good Understanding of STLC, Testing / UAT Testing/ Smoke Testing
- Basic Knowledge of Automation Testing & Writing SQL queries
- Strong Understanding of Canada or US Defined Benefit Domain
- Good Analytical & Logical Skills
