About the role
- Manage all aspects of the product development plan, including activity planning, budget management, schedule adherence, resource allocation, and milestone tracking to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Actively maintain internal project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet), ensuring accuracy in scheduling, risk assessment, and data integrity. Regularly update and track progress using standardized dashboard reporting.
- Act as the key internal contact for projects, fostering strong cross-functional relationships. Facilitate regular project updates and provide leadership to resolve issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Contribute to integrated project teams across the matrixed organization, collaborating with departments such as clinical operations, regulatory, and manufacturing to achieve project goals.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks. Quantify cost and schedule impacts and ensure proper submission to the change management process to maintain project integrity.
- Develop, maintain, and report all project schedule information, ensuring transparency and adherence across all levels of the organization. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage cross-functional reporting relationships to ensure traceability of project data and alignment with other systems in the organization. Ensure consistency and accessibility of data for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department leadership to ensure KPIs are met. Lead and manage complex programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, while navigating multi-faceted challenges.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualifications (Bachelor’s or above) or equivalent years of experience in pharma
- Minimum 4+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience including for products in preclinical and clinical development (Phase 1)
- Minimum 2+ years of project and financial management experience including financial forecasting
- Moderate level of project management execution experience with multiple projects.
- Experience leading sub-teams, managing and coordinating multiple tasks and functional areas.
- Expertise in at least at least two pharmaceutical drug development functions (clinical, manufacturing development, regulatory, or non-clinical development).
- Experience working as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience maintaining project management software solutions and project management tools
- SmartSheet experience preferred
