About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Experience supporting Provider Enrollment and Credentialing systems within healthcare or government environments
- Direct involvement in MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with Medicaid HR-1 and related healthcare system implementations
- Ability to manage and adapt to multiple concurrent IT implementation projects with shifting priorities
- Proven experience working in dynamic environments where project scope evolves based on agency needs
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, eligibility, and provider management workflows
- Experience supporting large-scale system transformations in government or public sector programs
- Ability to quickly ramp up on new initiatives as project portfolios expand or change
- Demonstrated flexibility in managing non-exhaustive and continuously evolving project pipelines
- Lead cross-functional teams of business analysts, data analysts, and technical staff to deliver IT transformation projects.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enterprise information systems.
- Define business and technical requirements in collaboration with product owners, subject matter experts, and development teams.
- Manage large-scale, complex IT projects as well as smaller initiatives simultaneously.
- Coordinate efforts between internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support business and operational teams with system analysis, testing, and validation activities.
- Prepare detailed project status reports, risk assessments, and executive-level documentation.
- Ensure proper project governance, monitoring, and compliance with established standards.
- Maintain accountability for project timelines, scope, and budget performance.
- Mentor and train staff on project management best practices and methodologies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
- Must be able and willing to travel to the location once a quarter as needed.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex IT implementation projects.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
- Proven ability to apply project management and governance principles effectively.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
