About the role
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of corporate policies and purchasing processes to mitigate potential risks
- Procure complex, specialized goods and services
- Implement effective and compliant acquisition practices to achieve program and company objectives
- Own contractual supply chain management functions for the assigned vendors
- Perform supply chain risk assessments and undertake due diligence tasks
- Collaborate with Legal department to draft and implement all contract templates
- Monitor established supplier contracts through to completion
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Demonstrate effective financial stewardship through budget monitoring
- Seek out continuous improvements to procurement related systems and processes
- Establish, foster, and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelors university degree in a relevant discipline such as Commerce, Finance, or Engineering OR a college degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Administration;
- Three to five years experience working in supply chain or procurement, ideally in complex technology-based environment;
- A professional designation in Procurement (e.g., CSCMP) is desirable but not mandatory;
- Experience in the planning, developing, and maintaining of contract processes, contract drafting and negotiations.
