About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer inbound calls and emails from customers who are currently traveling or who want to purchase or research travel, following standard procedures and scripts.
  • Greet and converse with customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Effectively convert customer inquiries into sales.
  • Use appropriate sales techniques to meet revenue and closing-rate targets.
  • Research travel fares, destinations, options, and packages for customers.
  • Read provided scripts verbatim while adhering to sales and quality standards.
  • Accurately respond to general questions about travel and destinations.
  • Provide information, recommendations, and options in a way that is accurate, meets customers’ needs, and encourages purchases.
  • Accurately track and report call types and service issues.
  • Promote and sell products or services.
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services.
  • Handle calls to meet or exceed the established daily target while maintaining an average talk-time in line with current operational requirements.
  • Meet or exceed quality standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • College diploma (preferred)
  • Two years of experience in sales, telemarketing, upselling, and customer service (required)
  • Two years of experience in the business or leisure travel industry (required)
  • One year of experience in international bookings
  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is required to handle customer calls from across Canada and worldwide.
