About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join us as a Business Development Representative for Google Cloud products and be the strategic link between businesses and groundbreaking cloud solutions.
  • As a Business Developer Representative, you will be responsible for identifying robust sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, discovering their needs and driving new business through various outbound campaigns.
  • You will help businesses work better together, move fast and innovate. As a member of the Business Development team, you will be the first point of contact for hundreds of businesses, proactively engaging them to build enthusiasm while identifying and qualifying their business needs to propose adequate solutions and send them on the most appropriate Sales path.
  • You will work towards individual targets, but will also be part of a larger sales team with a focus to grow our customer base across EMEA. You will work in a dedicated calling environment, interacting with customers primarily via outbound calls.
  • Meet quarterly SQO quota and daily/weekly activity targets.
  • Manage assigned accounts to identify high-potential prospects and educate them on Cloud offerings.
  • Execute daily outbound calls/emails (including cold calling) to C-level decision makers, quickly establish rapport, and assess needs.
  • Understand pain points, gather technical requirements, align business needs with Cloud solutions (solution-selling), and build value for next sales steps.
  • Maintain prospect/customer data in Salesforce (CRM), managing leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and activities.
  • Work towards team and individual KPIs (productivity, conversion, opportunities, pipeline).
  • Diligently document customer notes and deal details in Salesforce for stakeholder clarity.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • C2 level of Danish and C1 of English (both written and spoken).
  • BA/BS degree or significant equivalent practical experience (20 months).
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, ideally with direct exposure to Google Cloud Platform solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect business challenges with appropriate technical solutions.
  • Consistent success working against an assigned quota in a professional, phone-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT outbound sales prospecting, effective cold calling, and competent management of a substantial account portfolio.
  • Competent experience using Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and professionalism, with the ability to identify key decision-makers in a conversation.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and tenacious in pursuing objectives.
  • **Specialized Skills for Nordic Market:**
  • Clear understanding of the Nordic market, including cultural nuances and business practices.
  • Strategic Thinking: capability to identify and target companies with growth potential.
  • Complex problem-solving skills to navigate complex contexts.
  • Analytical Skills: proficiency in analyzing market trends and customer data.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Nordic market.
  • Ability to unlock substantial opportunities within a market brimming with potential for expansion
  • Nordic cultural awareness: understanding the business etiquette and cultural nuances of the region to build rapport and trust with potential clients.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder structures, including multiple agencies and sceptic customers.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the existing cloud ecosystem in each Nordic country and be able to position Google Cloud as a valuable and integrated solution.
  • Ability to manage more sophisticated questions about ROI and integration with other platforms.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: awareness of local regulations, especially regarding data privacy (e.g., GDPR), to ensure compliance in all outreach activities.
  • Ability to tailor outreach strategies that respect and address client’s high focus on data privacy and protection.
