About the role

  • Provide financial insights into business growth trends and profitability.
  • Support the reporting process cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) – assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of these reports.
  • Monthly cost center reports, travel & entertainment reports, and sample expense reports for the different organizations in the Vascular business unit.
  • Own and maintain a comprehensive headcount report used for tracking the financial impacts of headcount changes.
  • Other responsibilities including Capital Expense budgeting and forecasting, as well as assisting with the Excess, Obsolete, and Expired product liability accrual.
  • Participation in the forecasting and budgeting processes includes coordinating with department stakeholders for financial inputs.
  • Monthly close process includes cost center expenses and data consolidation.
  • Ad-hoc support and analysis of business issues for BU business partners and special projects.
  • Research and analyze data to provide a clear, cohesive explanation of business variances.
  • Prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines.
  • Liaise with auditors, corporate accounting, shared services, and global operations.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained and BU financial statements follow corporate accounting policies and standards.
  • Adhere to Teleflex Code of Ethics and company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure information is presented logically and consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
  • Minimum entry level or 1 – 3 years of experience in Finance positions or a position involving business-related analytics and problem-solving.
  • Experience with SAP, BW, Power BI, HFM, and PBCS preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong business acumen, organizational and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to take initiative to seek out solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated aptitude working with large volumes of data and analyzing trends.
  • Proven analytical experience.
  • Robust understanding of the Income Statement.
  • Prominent level of competency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Modeling, etc.).
