About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Disability Management Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Workers’ Compensation Program and oversees the third-party administrators' management of Telecare's workers’ compensation claims.
- The Disability Management Administrator works closely with HR, Leadership and Staff to provide training, claim reporting guidance, and claim status updates.
- The Disability Management Administrator interprets Labor Code regulations and the appropriate application for occupational injuries/illnesses.
- Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of initiatives, strategies, training, and education programs to control the costs of Telecare's Workers' Compensation program.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business field and two(2) years' experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis in leave or disability management; OR five (5) years' experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis in leave or disability management and current HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPDM, CLMS and/or extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Five (5) years of experience in workers' compensation claims management for an insurance carrier, claims administrator, or self-insured organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
