About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Disability Management Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Workers’ Compensation Program and oversees the third-party administrators' management of Telecare's workers’ compensation claims.
  • The Disability Management Administrator works closely with HR, Leadership and Staff to provide training, claim reporting guidance, and claim status updates.
  • The Disability Management Administrator interprets Labor Code regulations and the appropriate application for occupational injuries/illnesses.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of initiatives, strategies, training, and education programs to control the costs of Telecare's Workers' Compensation program.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business field and two(2) years' experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis in leave or disability management; OR five (5) years' experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis in leave or disability management and current HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPDM, CLMS and/or extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • Five (5) years of experience in workers' compensation claims management for an insurance carrier, claims administrator, or self-insured organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
