About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Director, Governance, Risk and Compliance – Information Security in implementing, maintaining, and improving the internal control environment
  • Collaborate with business, technology, operations, clients, and vendors to ensure policies, procedures, and controls are designed, implemented, and operating effectively
  • Serve as a security subject matter expert for security guidance, approvals, design, and integration across corporate and cloud environments
  • Manage the cybersecurity program’s ability to keep pace with changes in the threat landscape
  • Implement a continuous security and control assessment framework
  • Develop and maintain risk metrics for peer teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders
  • Advise IT and business project teams on threats, solutions, and technologies
  • Continuously assess critical security controls for cloud-based applications and track remediation of security gaps
  • Assist with client lifecycle information security activities, including RFI responses, contract negotiations, and security assessments
  • Perform onboarding and annual risk assessments and due diligence for third-party service providers and partners
  • Document, implement, review, and update information security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Establish and follow quality control standards for publishing security documentation
  • Communicate information security policy and standards requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare, document, and review SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs
  • Perform risk assessment analysis and ATOS
  • Promote security education and awareness across Teladoc

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong background in cyber governance, risk, and compliance
  • Extensive experience performing vendor risk assessments, inventory maintenance, and data processing activities
  • Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, HITRUST, FedRAMP, PCI, SOX, FDA, GDPR, and HIPAA standards/models/frameworks
  • Experience integrating security programs after mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence activities
  • Experience managing risk to secure public and private cloud environments
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year undergraduate program
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM
  • 5–7 years of experience in a purely information security role
  • Experience performing HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, NIST, ISO, GDPR, and CCPA assessments
  • Working knowledge of IoT medical devices, FDA postmarket requirements, and UL 2900-1/2
  • Prioritization, time management, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage activities with internal and external technical and non-technical parties
  • Travel of less than or equal to 10%
