About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver outstanding service to members and patients through calls, emails, and chats
  • Respond to inbound calls in Member Service queues
  • Determine member eligibility and appropriate courses of action
  • Handle crisis calls and follow crisis-management protocols
  • Collaborate with clinicians and the case team on urgent case management and consults
  • Maintain complete case documentation in relevant systems
  • Communicate with members, patients, clients, and management by telephone and in writing
  • Coordinate and schedule member/patient appointments
  • Facilitate pharmacy and prescription needs with clinicians
  • Ensure quality and timely outgoing reports and communications
  • Comply with PIPEDA rules and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years college preferred
  • 3–5 years’ experience working in a customer-oriented environment, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience in a call centre or support team
  • Proficient using PC technology software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Bi-lingual English and French is a requirement
  • Full flexibility Monday to Sunday, including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts
  • Exceptional empathy and member/patient engagement
  • Ability to navigate multiple internal systems and web-based applications
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior problem-solving and organizational capabilities
  • Clear and concise written communication skills
  • Outstanding telephonic communication abilities
  • Proven record of exceeding customer expectations and resolving issues
