About the role

  • Design, implement, and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, and DRS environments
  • Lead datacenter infrastructure operations including compute, storage, and virtualization
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization
  • Manage host upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and hardware refresh
  • Configure and manage enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) integration
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Handle complex troubleshooting across virtualization, storage, and server hardware
  • Ensure security hardening and compliance within the virtual infrastructure
  • Work closely with network, security, and application teams
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Datacenter Operations & Virtualization
  • Strong hands-on expertise in VMware ESXi & vCenter (enterprise scale)
  • Experience with HA, DRS, vMotion, SRM
  • Experience with enterprise storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, Pure, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS)
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
