About the role
- Manage and maintain complex software systems
- Perform application software implementations and upgrades
- Ensure high availability, security and integrity of assigned applications
- Monitor applications and set alerts to maintain stability
- Install application patches and releases
- Serve as key person in troubleshooting system problems
- Create and maintain accurate system documentation
- Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning
- Participate in disaster recovery planning
- Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter environments
- Provide technical support for Cloud-based services
- Conduct regular system checks and audits for compliance
- Manage the lifecycle of virtual machines
- Collaborate on project development and implementation
- Participate in incident handling and change management processes
- Provide training and documentation for staff
- Prepare and submit reports on system performance
- Participate in after-hours callback support as needed
Requirements
- Must possess Secret Clearance
- Seven (7) years of progressive experience in virtualized server environments
- Experience managing large scale, multi-disciplinary projects
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+)
- Computing Environment Certification (e.g., VMware VCP-DCV 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate)
