About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • In Tekmetric’s high-growth organization, the Senior General Ledger Accountant role will provide vital support in multi-entity accounting and reporting.
  • You will own critical areas of the month-end close and general ledger, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and continuous improvement in a multi-entity SaaS environment.
  • This role goes beyond execution, you will proactively identify issues, improve processes, and elevate how the team operates.
  • This role will report to the Head of Accounting.
  • Take ownership of key components of the month-end close, ensuring timely, accurate, and audit-ready financials.
  • Proactively identify close bottlenecks and drive improvements to reduce cycle time and increase visibility.
  • Ensure proper cutoff, accruals, and completeness of financial data.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through detailed account analysis and review.
  • Reconcile complex accounts, including intercompany and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies independently, escalating only when necessary.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting treatment and accuracy across all entities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business operations to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting.
  • Take ownership of key accrual areas (prepaids, expenses, etc.) and ensure proper recognition and documentation.
  • Partner with FP&A to align financials with forecasts and explain variances through meaningful flux analysis.
  • Translate financial results into clear insights that support business decision-making.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements.
  • Leverage NetSuite and FloQast to automate workflows, enhance reporting, and improve close visibility.
  • Help define and standardize processes as the company continues to scale.
  • Own preparation of audit support, including reconciliations and documentation.
  • Contribute to special projects such as M&A integrations, system implementations, and process redesign.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with strong ownership of month-end close
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statement flow
  • Proven experience in multi-entity accounting and consolidations
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter mindset – able to operate independently, identify priorities, and drive work forward without direction
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to evolving processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Systems-oriented with a desire to get more out of tools and automate processes
  • Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and Excel (lookups, pivots, data analysis, reconciliations)
