About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support analytical workstreams across a range of data and analytics initiatives
- Turn business questions into clear data requirements, KPI definitions, and reporting logic
- Document the business rules, metric definitions, and assumptions behind our analytics
- Help build and maintain foundational analytical assets — hierarchies, segmentation frameworks, benchmarking dimensions, and business reference data
- Investigate discrepancies, spot data gaps, and help build trust in our core metrics
- Partner closely with Product, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to move work from idea to execution
- Bring structure to ambiguous problems with support from senior team members
- Create analyses, requirement docs, and summaries used by cross-functional teams and leadership
- Help shape repeatable processes that make analytics easier and more consistent over time
- Help maintain competitive and market benchmarking materials
- Refresh benchmarking to reflect shifts in market capabilities and competitor moves
- Help make sure market context is feeding into planning and prioritization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field required
- 4+ years in business analysis, analytics, strategy, product analytics, or a similar role
- Strong automotive industry knowledge — you understand OEM and dealer dynamics, dealership operations, vehicle and sales data, or related automotive domains
- Solid SQL skills and experience working across multiple data sources
- A knack for turning fuzzy business problems into clear requirements and real deliverables
- Experience defining and documenting KPIs and business rules
- Sharp problem-solving skills, great attention to detail, and a bias toward action
- Strong communicator — you can explain the logic and the takeaway to both technical and business audiences
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
