About the role
- Build and evolve features for ATLAS across the stack — from crafting UI components in React to developing robust APIs with Node.js
- Learn quickly and receive support from experienced frontend and backend teammates
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and mission teams to understand problems and deliver meaningful solutions
- Work with real-time geospatial and sensor data that supports military and civilian operations
- Write clean, maintainable, and reliable code, and continuously improve it through feedback and learning
- Troubleshoot issues, deliver improvements, and iterate rapidly in an agile environment
- Contribute to a platform used daily in some of the world’s most demanding operational environments
Requirements
- Team player — understand you’re part of an ecosystem that moves at the pace of its slowest member. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential
- Experience (including informal or academic) in either frontend or backend development
- Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript and willing to work with React, Neo4j, and .NET
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and web architecture
- Able to autonomously plan and execute development work end-to-end
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to take ownership of your work
- Willingness to stretch beyond your comfort zone and grow into a full-stack role
- Motivation to work on mission-driven products in defence, security, and humanitarian contexts
- Experience with real-time systems, geospatial data, or streaming APIs (bonus)
- Familiarity with containers (Docker), CI/CD, or cloud environments (bonus)
- Exposure to GraphQL, WebSockets, or event-driven architectures (bonus)
- Interest in working with data from drones, AI models, or sensor networks (bonus)
