About the role
- Collaborate closely with the Construction Project Manager to develop and execute strategic construction plans, offering expert input on constructability and sequencing.
- Support on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Conduct advanced reviews of construction drawings and specifications, identify potential conflicts, and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare and manage construction documentation including RFIs, change orders, and progress reports to support procurement and tender processes.
- Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs and critically evaluate contractor cost proposals for accuracy and value.
- Monitor construction progress, perform quality assurance inspections, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or you are a qualified Construction Tradesperson with extensive site experience in industrial construction projects.
- You have at least 10 years of construction field experience within industrial plant, chemical, energy, or heavy-construction environments, including multidisciplinary site coordination.
- You are experienced in supervising subcontractors, resolving technical field issues, reviewing construction documentation, and managing site execution across multiple crafts.
- You are familiar with industrial safety standards, project workflows, and quality assurance practices; prior experience in gas plants, air separation units, cryogenic systems, or process facilities is a strong asset.
- You are analytical, structured, and collaborative, comfortable working in dynamic, high-performance environments with international teams.
- You are willing to work full-time on site, including extended hours when required by construction progress or critical path activities.
