About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct and supervise forest inventories and field surveys in accordance with applicable standards
  • Validate, analyze and structure collected data
  • Perform digitization/vectorization and geospatial processing of data in GIS environments (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Write technical reports, produce maps and perform analyses that meet contractual requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and quality of deliverables
  • Participate in the planning and organization of project-related activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry engineering or a related field
  • Active, in-good-standing member of the OIFQ (mandatory)
  • Proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) in a professional context
  • Excellent writing skills for producing technical documents
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote/telework setting
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
