About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct and supervise forest inventories and field surveys in accordance with applicable standards
Validate, analyze, and structure collected data
Perform digitization (vectorization) and geospatial data processing in GIS environments (ArcGIS, QGIS)
Prepare technical reports, produce maps, and perform analyses that meet contractual requirements
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and the quality of deliverables
Participate in the planning and organization of project activities
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies
Provide high-quality professional services to TEHORA clients, including public-sector mandates

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in forest engineering or a related field
Active, in-good-standing member of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec (OIFQ), mandatory
Professional proficiency with GIS tools, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS
Excellent writing skills for the preparation of technical documents
Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting
Meticulous, well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Availability for occasional travel as required by operational needs
Remote work available anywhere in Quebec
