About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct and supervise forest inventories and field surveys in accordance with applicable standards
  • Validate, analyze, and structure collected data
  • Perform digitization (vectorization) and geospatial data processing in GIS environments (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Prepare technical reports, produce maps, and perform analyses that meet contractual requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and the quality of deliverables
  • Participate in the planning and organization of project activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies
  • Provide high-quality professional services to TEHORA clients, including public-sector mandates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in forest engineering or a related field
  • Active, in-good-standing member of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec (OIFQ), mandatory
  • Professional proficiency with GIS tools, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS
  • Excellent writing skills for the preparation of technical documents
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Meticulous, well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability for occasional travel as required by operational needs
  • Remote work available anywhere in Quebec
