About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct and supervise forest inventories and field surveys in accordance with current standards
- Validate, analyze and structure collected data
- Perform digitization/vectorization and geospatial data processing in GIS environments (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS)
- Prepare technical reports, produce maps and carry out analyses that meet contractual requirements
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and quality of deliverables
- Participate in planning and organizing project-related activities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in forest engineering or a related field
- Active, in-good-standing membership with the OIFQ (Order of Forest Engineers of Quebec) (required)
- Professional proficiency with GIS tools: ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
- Excellent writing skills for producing technical documents
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
