About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct and oversee forest inventories and field surveys in accordance with current standards
  • Validate, analyze, and structure collected data
  • Perform digitization (vectorization) and geospatial data processing in GIS environments (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Prepare technical reports, produce maps, and carry out analyses that meet contractual requirements
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure deliverable compliance and quality
  • Participate in the planning and organization of project-related activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry engineering or a related field
  • Active, in‑good‑standing member of the OIFQ (Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec) — required
  • Proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) in a professional setting
  • Excellent writing skills for producing technical documentation
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote work setting
  • Rigour, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
