Business Architect

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the development of business and technology roadmaps
- Support projects requiring new solutions and interface integration
- Produce business and solution architecture plans that meet user needs
- Participate in comparative evaluations of solutions and recommend strategic directions
- Establish and maintain capability maps and their links to information systems
- Identify and prioritize business capabilities to be evolved
- Document business processes, value chains and key information
- Support teams in their digital projects
- Facilitate architecture meetings and present to stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with internal teams and compliance with security and cybersecurity standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in a technology environment, including at least five (5) years as a business architect or solution architect
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Good knowledge of the healthcare and social services network and of complex information system environments
- Architecture certification (ASAT, BAIS, BAIP, CBA, TOGAF) considered an asset
- Knowledge of business and solution architecture methodologies and best practices
- Experience with multiple platforms and technologies
- Experience in or exposure to solution architecture definitions including cloud environments and cybersecurity considerations
- Understanding of organizational issues and cross‑functional vision
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Autonomy, rigor, professional ethics and commitment to quality work
- Strong communication, writing and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of the following programs and systems:
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR / DCI)
- Digital Health Record (DSN – Epic)
- Medical Image Viewer (MIV / VIM)
- HRIS and Financial/Administrative Information Systems (SI‑RH and SI‑FA)
