About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide operational support for MySQL databases in a delegated/managed services context, covering production and non-production environments
- Own all database-related incidents through the designated ticketing, monitoring, and communication tools, ensuring continuous coverage (24/7 for production)
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, including issues related to:
- - database availability
- - data replication
- - performance and general system operation
- Comply with applicable service levels (SLAs), including response and resolution times according to incident criticality
- Support non-production environments during business hours, including tracking and handling operational requests
- Perform, on request, specialized interventions such as:
- - installation and upgrades of MySQL databases
- - application of patches
- - configuration changes
- - database migrations or evolutions
- Assist internal teams by providing technical database expertise
- Maintain service levels in accordance with contractual requirements, including traceability, intervention tracking, and adherence to established processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in MySQL administration in production environments
- Ability to operate in critical environments with strict SLAs
- Experience in operational support and incident management
- Proficiency in the following concepts:
- - MySQL replication
- - Backup and recovery
- - Performance and availability
- Ability to work in a support role (not a development role)
- Availability for 24/7 on-call duty
- Ability to respond to a critical incident within 15 minutes
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
- Ability to work in an environment compliant with government security requirements, including:
- - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid security clearance/attestation
- - Mandatory participation in information security training
- - Compliance with confidentiality requirements and signing of required agreements
