About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer PostgreSQL databases
Perform quality assurance and support the development of data models
Act as a performance, data operations and connection-management consultant
Advise teams on SQL query optimization
Contribute to the development of SQL coding rules and naming conventions
Create base schemas or containers in on-premises or cloud environments
Support the development of scripts for provisioning, updating or deploying database environments
Monitor cloud database service consumption and advise on cost optimization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 8 years' experience as a systems development or maintenance analyst working with a relational DBMS
At least 5 years' experience with PostgreSQL version 14 or later
Experience administering databases in a cloud environment
Participation in a project using DbUp or an automated data-deployment tool
Experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL or CI/CD pipelines is an asset
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and to document work precisely
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written

SALARY
The salary will be calculated based on the average hourly rate corresponding to your profile.
WORK LOCATION
Remote work from Canada. Occasional presence in Québec may be required depending on the needs of the engagement.
