About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and implement the business development strategy
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities (public and private)
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Monitor markets and trends for strategic intelligence
  • Collaborate with the proposal/bid team to maximize win rates
  • Participate in the preparation of commercial proposals and client presentations
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual agreements
  • Contribute to TEHORA’s positioning and visibility
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities and ensure ongoing follow-up
  • Attend networking events and represent the company
  • Ensure post-sale follow-up and identify opportunities for growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hold a university degree in business administration, marketing, engineering or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 8 to 15 years of experience in business development or B2B sales
  • Experience working in a professional services firm (IT, engineering or consulting)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships
  • Strong strategic mindset and results-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Autonomous, proactive and performance-driven
  • Good understanding of technology environments
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written); English is an asset
  • **Preferred knowledge (assets)**
  • Experience with public tender/procurement processes (SEAO, MERX, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT, engineering, infrastructure or smart city sectors
  • Established professional network in target markets
  • Experience selling professional services or complex solutions
  • Familiarity with long and complex sales cycles
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships
