About the role
- Carry out on-site monitoring of works and manage correspondence follow-up from our offices;
- Actively participate, with the project manager, in preparing the "Monitoring Plan" in connection with our contract and the full scope of services to be provided;
- Attend site meetings;
- Conduct periodic inspections as well as inspections with reservations (provisional) and without reservations (final) of the works;
- Verify the contractor's payment applications;
- Prepare deficiency lists and ensure follow-up by the contractor and their subcontractors;
- Prepare site directives and/or change notices in coordination with the project manager and the design team;
- Follow up with the project manager and the design team;
- Ensure equipment start-up/commissioning by the contractor and subcontractors;
- Review project closeout documents to be submitted by the contractor.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in building mechanical systems;
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Have more than 3 years of experience in building mechanical systems;
- Relevant experience in consulting engineering with site supervision;
- Knowledge of electrical installations (an asset);
- Familiarity with the following software: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
