Develop innovative approaches and new procurement strategies to grow the company’s business;
Monitor market best practices in strategic procurement;
Review clients’ tender documents to identify and understand key requirements (firm qualifications, personnel qualifications, technical, administrative, legal requirements, etc.) and identify risks and uncertainties in order to propose requests for clarification;
Contribute to the development of the response strategy in collaboration with internal teams (products, technologies, profiles to submit, experiences to highlight, collaborations with third parties or other business units, etc.);
Identify differentiating elements and key messages to emphasize, and identify information sources from the existing content library to accelerate proposal production;
Participate in identifying and developing business opportunities, market monitoring and articulating the organization’s market intelligence;
Provide expertise in tracking various business opportunities and take part in discussions with potential decision-makers during outreach;
Identify and develop business relationships with potential partners leading to the drafting and submission of a service proposal in a given sector, and prepare the necessary partnership agreements;
Analyze terms of reference to understand technical aspects, context, specific requirements and required timelines;
Participate in and/or coordinate the ideation, development, preparation, drafting and submission of expressions of interest, unsolicited service proposals or competitive tenders addressed to various funders, ensuring clarity, readability and consistency with both internal contributors and external partners;
Analyze and propose the best approaches, methodologies and innovations to respond to business opportunities, in collaboration with the subject-matter experts associated with the proposal;
Support CV searches during competitive tenders;
Participate in follow-ups related to negotiation of contracts, agreements and conventions with partners and consultants;
Provide and coordinate, with headquarters and national and regional teams, updates of business opportunities in the CRM;
Manage deliverables effectively while meeting deadlines;
Perform any other tasks requested by your supervisor or required by the role;
Regular national and international travel to be expected as needed.
Requirements
Hold a university degree in business administration, commerce, procurement or another relevant field;
Have five years of relevant experience in drafting service proposals for international funders;
Holding the professional title in supply chain management (P.G.C.A) is an asset;
Have knowledge of economic and social development in emerging economies as well as development at the intersection of international trade and development;
Be recognized for strong writing and synthesis skills;
Ability to manage priorities and respond quickly to meet deadlines that can sometimes be tight;
Be both autonomous and creative;
Possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, international partners and funders.
