About the role
- The Associate is a developing mid-level consultant responsible for owning discipline-specific deliverables, coordinating with clients and design partners, owning and delivering small projects, and supporting the delivery of larger projects under the mentorship of a more senior engineer.
- Shift from primarily production-focused work to applying judgment, managing defined scope, and ensuring your work aligns with TEECOM’s standards and documentation practices.
- Work with your Mentor, senior engineers, and Project Leads to develop accurate, coordinated designs while building independence through strong documentation habits and consistent follow-through.
- Design systems, prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations, and produce coordinated deliverables—either independently or with the production team.
- Develop client relationships by building trust through clear communication, reliable follow-through, and thoughtful coordination.
- Participate in project meetings, programming sessions, coordination discussions, and construction support, helping maintain alignment with clients, contractors, manufacturers, and design partners.
- Contribute discipline scope input for pursuits, prepare early fee assumptions, and assist with proposal coordination.
Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry with strong proficiency in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects, including exposure to coordination processes or field related activities.
- Experience delivering technology system designs (ICT, Security, Physical Security, Electronic Security disciplines) and supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
- Experience leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
- Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
- Ability to manage and maintain coordinated models, produce accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and resolve production issues independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage workloads across several projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
- Solid technical understanding of technology systems and engineering principles; ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with limited guidance.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
- Industry certifications preferred but not required: EIT — plus, CDT — plus, PSP/CPP (Security) — plus, PE — plus.
