About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and execute unique experiences, including securing and overseeing food and beverage partners and vendors.
Develop and bring to life creative food and beverage concepts for parties and events.
Own vendor relationships: research, contract negotiation, quality control, and communication.
Ensure compliance with County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality requirements.
Maintain accurate tracking and data entry within an online management system.
Align communications with TED's brand guidelines.
Serve as a subject-matter expert in events and food and beverage.
Collaborate across teams to ensure success of broader event goals.
Manage multiple projects under pressure with minimal supervision.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree or diploma in event management, hospitality, project management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3+ years of event management (or similar) experience.
Extensive hands-on experience planning food and beverage for events.
A California Food Handler Card (or ServSafe certification) is an asset.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Sharp analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
Proficient in MS Office, macOS, and Google Workspace.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
