About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and execute unique experiences, including securing and overseeing food and beverage partners and vendors.
- Develop and bring to life creative food and beverage concepts for parties and events.
- Own vendor relationships: research, contract negotiation, quality control, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate tracking and data entry within an online management system.
- Align communications with TED's brand guidelines.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in events and food and beverage.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure success of broader event goals.
- Manage multiple projects under pressure with minimal supervision.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or diploma in event management, hospitality, project management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of event management (or similar) experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience planning food and beverage for events.
- A California Food Handler Card (or ServSafe certification) is an asset.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Sharp analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, macOS, and Google Workspace.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
