About the role
- Full-time position with Tecknomic supporting the Port Authority of NY & NJ on Cognos TM1 architecture and development.
- New development: understand/document business requirements, plan, develop, test and deploy solutions following Port Authority processes.
- Systems Testing and Deployment: unit/system integration testing, coordinate UAT and obtain sign-off for production releases.
- Systems Support: maintenance, enhancements, resolve data issues and user tickets, provide on-call off-hour support.
- Environment Support: maintain Non-prod and Prod Cognos environments, apply patches and upgrades.
- System administration: install/configure Cognos components, manage user accounts, security profiles, access control.
- Troubleshooting: log, document, track and resolve system problems ensuring data integrity across interfaces.
- Disaster Recovery Support: define scope and coordinate periodic DR tests with Port Authority and third parties.
- Documentation and Training: produce documentation and user guides, provide training for new functionality.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in development and maintenance of TM1 applications using 11.2 or higher version by understanding business requirements.
- Extensive hands-on experience Cognos TM1 (Perspective, Architect, Performance Modeler & contributor web).
- Experience in development of complex TI processes/chores, building web sheets (Static and Active forms), web applications, rules and workflows.
- Experience in setting up data, application, and object level security.
- Experience in installation and configuration of Cognos TM1 and BI tools.
- Expertise knowledge in writing SQL and any other scripting languages.
- Experience in documenting functional and technical design.
- Good knowledge of Finance modules like General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Fixed Assets and so on.
- Excellent communications, presentation skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization on a regular basis.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related fields.
- Certification in Cognos or any related area is preferred.
