About the role

  • Full-time position with Tecknomic on a Port Authority of NY & NJ project.
  • Hybrid role in NY/NJ; normal workday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • New development: gather and document business requirements, plan, develop, test, deploy solutions following PA processes.
  • Systems Testing and Deployment: unit and system integration testing, coordinate UAT and obtain sign-off, follow change/release management.
  • Systems Support: maintain platform stability, resolve data issues and user tickets, provide on-call availability.
  • Environment Support: maintain Non-prod and Prod Cognos environments, apply patching and upgrades.
  • System administration: install/configure Cognos components, manage user accounts and security profiles.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Management: log, document, track and resolve system problems ensuring data integrity.
  • Disaster Recovery Support: define and coordinate disaster recovery tests with Port Authority and third parties.
  • Documentation and Training: produce documentation and user guides, provide end-user training on new functionality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience with design, development and testing applications using any other technologies, programming languages and databases.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, C++, JSON, Python, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of working with Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM technologies.
  • Work experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Platform technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts.
  • Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related fields
  • Any certification in related technologies is preferred.
